Iroquois Ridge is a north Oakville family community sitting between Trafalgar Road and Eighth Line, north of the QEW and south of Dundas. The neighbourhood was built primarily through the 1990s and into the early 2000s as a planned family suburb, with two-storey detached homes, attached garages, and the kind of finished or finishable basements that homeowners eventually turn into home offices or kids’ rec rooms. What we install in Iroquois Ridge
Frameless shower enclosures. Most Iroquois Ridge primary ensuites were built around a corner soaker tub and a small framed shower stall, and the conversion to a single larger walk-in zone is the most common bath job we do in this neighbourhood. We install frameless pivot doors, fixed-plus-swing panels, and sliding configurations in 10mm tempered glass. For the main bath that serves the kids’ bedrooms, we’ll often spec a single fixed-plus-swing panel sliding into the existing tub alcove footprint. A hydrophobic coating on the glass is worth specifying on the family bathrooms — it makes weekly cleaning materially easier and reduces hard-water spotting over the long term.
Glass partitions. A meaningful share of our Iroquois Ridge work is glass partitions in finished basements — separating a home office from a rec room, a workout space from a lounge, or a kids’ play zone from the laundry. We install floor-to-ceiling tempered glass partitions with minimal aluminum or wood frames, sometimes with a frosted band at eye level for privacy. The result is a room division that keeps the basement window’s daylight reaching the back of the floor.
Custom mirrors. Most Iroquois Ridge ensuites and main baths get a single-piece vanity-width mirror as part of the renovation. We cut to the wall, polish all visible edges, and install with concealed clips. Full-length mirrors in master closets and basement workout walls are also common. All mirrors use copper-free silvering rated for bathroom humidity.
Glass shelving. Niche shelves inside shower enclosures, glass shelving in kitchens and powder rooms, and glass-front cabinet upgrades come up regularly on the same site visits as the shower or partition work.

Builder-grade shower door replacement. The original framed shower doors in twenty-year-old Iroquois Ridge homes have usually reached end-of-life — the bottom track is corroded, the sealant has failed, and the glass is scratched. The most popular replacement is a frameless pivot door or a fixed-plus-swing panel in 10mm tempered, set on the existing tile curb with minimal hardware.
Basement glass partition. Homeowners finishing their basement increasingly want a glass divider rather than a full drywall partition. We install full-height tempered glass with a frosted privacy band for spaces that need separation but should keep the daylight from the basement window flowing through.
Open-stair glass guard. The original interior stair railings — oak posts and metal spindles — are being replaced steadily with frameless glass guards along the open stair edge. Custom vanity mirror. A wall-to-wall vanity mirror with a polished edge and a clean wall-clip install transforms the look of a 20-year-old bathroom faster and cheaper than any other single change.
What makes Iroquois Ridge specs different
Two things, on most jobs.
First, the homes are family-occupied and stay that way through the renovation. We schedule installs so the bath or basement is out of service for as little time as possible — typically one day from removal to silicone cure. Hardware finishes lean practical: brushed nickel, matte black, chrome — finishes that match what’s already in the house and don’t require swapping out faucets and pulls to coordinate.
Second, the original shower openings are usually square and plumb, which keeps templating efficient. But the substrate behind 20-year-old tile isn’t always where we’d want it — we confirm blocking before drilling for hinge hardware, and where the blocking isn’t right we use a continuous wall channel rather than a single hinge point.
