OBC compliance and engineering coordination

Commercial glazing has to satisfy the Ontario Building Code for safety glazing, guards, and egress. Engineer-stamped drawings are available upon request for an additional fee. We work with your architect or landlord so the frontage is properly documented for inspection.

1. Site review and templating. We measure the opening as built and confirm glass spec, framing, and any engineering or permit needs.
2. Shop drawings and fabrication. Drawings issued, then framing and glass fabricated to suit.
3. Phased installation. Installed to your schedule, including night and weekend work, with the frontage secured between shifts.

What drives the cost

Every storefront is quoted to the opening, not to a rate card. Cost is driven by the size of the frontage, the glass specification (tempered, laminated, or insulated units), the framing system, the doors and their hardware, any engineering and permit requirements, and how the install has to be phased or secured. After a site review you get a fixed, itemized written price — before HST. Every install carries a 5-year warranty on labour and 5-year warranty on hardware.
