Lux Glass repairs, replaces and installs commercial aluminum doors for Vaughan businesses in Woodbridge, Kleinburg and Maple. Some jobs start with a door that has stopped behaving: a closer that slams, a panic bar that sticks, a lock that no longer lines up, or an old entrance that has simply worn out. Others are a new storefront or retail entrance door with its frame, or an aluminum-and-glass entrance vestibule. Bojan Stojic, owner and master glazier, comes up from our Oakville base for the visit and does the work himself.

Start with what the door is doing
Before anyone talks about a new door, we look at the one you have. At the free on-site measure Bojan checks how the door swings and latches, the closer, the hinges or pivots, the lock, the panic bar if there is one, and whether the frame is still square in the opening. Entrance problems usually trace back to one of those parts. The written quote then names the part that is failing and what it takes to put it right, so you are not paying for a whole entrance when a closer would do.
Door closers that have stopped closing
The closer is the device, usually at the head of the door, that brings it back and holds it shut. With years of traffic, closers lose control: the door slams, swings too fast, drifts open in the wind or stops just short of the latch. Some can be adjusted. A closer that leaks or has lost its control needs replacing, and we size the new one to the weight and width of the door so the entrance pulls itself shut firmly every time, without catching anyone’s heel.
Panic bars and exit devices
A panic bar, or exit device, opens the door when someone pushes on it from inside, with no key or handle involved. Many commercial entrances carry one, and the requirement for yours comes from the building and its approvals, not from us. If your landlord, architect or the fire inspector has named the hardware, we install to that specification. If an existing bar sticks, rattles or no longer latches, we service or replace it and check that the door and frame are not the real cause.
When it is time to replace the door
Some doors are past repair. The signs are a bent or racked door, rails worn out where hardware has been changed more than once, glass that is cracked or badly scratched, and a door that no longer sits evenly in its frame. If the frame is sound, a new aluminum door goes into it. If the frame has moved, both are replaced together so the new door does not inherit the old problem. New doors are glazed with tempered safety glass made to CAN/CGSB-12.1, or laminated glass where impact matters.
New entrances and vestibules
For a new tenant or a renovation, we install storefront and retail entrance doors with their aluminum frames, and aluminum-and-glass entrance vestibules: an inner set of doors that stops outside air reaching the room each time the street door opens. Door, frame, glass and hardware are chosen together, so the closer and the exit device suit the size and weight of the door from the start. For the shopfront glass around the entrance, see our commercial storefront glass service.
Woodbridge, Kleinburg and Maple
We work across Vaughan, in commercial neighbourhoods as well as residential ones. In Woodbridge, Old Woodbridge and Market Lane mix boutique commercial glass with heritage-style renovation, so a replacement door there may have to suit an opening that has settled over the years. In Kleinburg, the village at the heart of the Kleinburg corridor brings heritage renovation and interior glass partition work. Maple is part of our core service area too. Wherever the entrance is, the visit, the quote, the installation and any later adjustment are handled by the same person.
Quotes, insurance and warranty
There is no standard price for commercial aluminum doors or door hardware. A repair, a new door, or a new door and frame are each quoted in writing after a free on-site measure, with every part on its own line, so you can weigh a repair against a replacement. Once you approve, we template the opening, the door and glass are fabricated to it, and Bojan installs and adjusts it. Lux Glass is WSIB insured and carries $5,000,000 Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance. We have 18 years of experience, in business since 2008 and incorporated as Lux Glass Inc. in 2014, and every installation carries a 5-year warranty on labour and 5-year warranty on hardware.
Vaughan commercial door FAQs
Do you service aluminum doors you did not install?
Yes. We service existing aluminum entrances in Vaughan, including closers, panic bars, hinges, pivots and locks. If parts for an older door can no longer be found, we tell you and quote a replacement instead.
How do we know whether to repair or replace our entrance door?
We check the hardware, the door and the frame at the free on-site measure. If only the hardware has failed, we repair it. If the door is bent or worn, we replace the door. If the frame has moved, we replace both.
Can you add a panic bar to our existing door?
Often, yes, if the door and its frame can take it. We check the door at the visit. If your landlord, architect or the fire inspector has specified a device, we install that one.
What glass goes into a commercial aluminum door?
Tempered safety glass made to CAN/CGSB-12.1, or laminated glass where impact matters. The choice is shown on its own line in the written quote.
Do you come to Woodbridge, Kleinburg and Maple?
Yes. We travel from our Oakville base across Vaughan, including Woodbridge, Kleinburg and Maple, for the site measure, the installation and any service call.
Is the new hardware covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every installation carries our 5-year warranty on labour and 5-year warranty on hardware, and the person who installed it is the person who comes back.
What does a commercial aluminum door cost in Vaughan?
There is no standard price. Each job is quoted in writing after a free on-site measure, with the repair, door, frame, glass and hardware listed separately.
