Every installation covers workmanship from template to final adjustment. You choose your glass thickness, hardware finish, and hinge style at the quote stage.

• Glass thickness: 3/8″ tempered for most residential bathrooms, or 1/2″ for taller panels and larger spans.
• Hardware finishes: stainless steel, chrome, brushed nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze.
• Hinge types: standard wall-mount, offset (for out-of-plumb walls), and self-closing.
• Sealing: clear silicone, sweep, and side-seal where the configuration requires it.

Glass options

Each glass option behaves differently under bathroom light and reads differently against your tile.

• Clear tempered: the standard choice, neutral against most tile and stone.
• Low-iron (Starphire): near-colourless glass that removes the faint green tint of standard glass. Suits white marble and high-contrast tile.
• Tinted: bronze and grey, useful when the door is a visual feature of the room.
• Textured or frosted: for privacy where the shower is visible from a doorway.

Configurations we install

The right configuration depends on your bathroom layout. We walk through the options on site during the template visit.

• Hinged: a single fixed panel and swing door. The most common layout for alcove showers.
• Pivot: a centre-pivot door that swings both ways. Suits wider openings.
• Walk-in or curbless: a single fixed panel with no door, for barrier-free showers.
• Corner or neo-angle: two panels meeting at a corner, where the shower occupies a corner footprint.

How the process works

The work runs in three stages. We template the opening on site once the tile and curb are finished. Glass is then cut, hardware ordered, and panels fabricated to the template. We install on a single visit, set the silicone, and walk you through care.

Lead time from template to install is typically five to seven business days. The install is glazing work, not gut renovation. We protect the floors, work clean, and leave the bathroom usable the same day.

How long does a custom frameless shower door last?

A well-installed frameless door lasts the life of the bathroom. The tempered glass does not degrade, and the hardware is rated for tens of thousands of cycles. The most common service item is the seal or sweep, replaced after several years of use.

Should I choose 3/8″ or 1/2″ glass?

3/8″ is the standard for most residential bathrooms and feels solid in hand. 1/2″ is the right choice for tall panels over roughly 80 inches, wide spans without a header, or when you want heavier visual weight against bold tile.

Do frameless shower doors leak?

A correctly templated and installed frameless door does not leak in normal use. The silicone joints are continuous and the sweep handles the spray that reaches the bottom. Leaks almost always trace back to a sloped curb or the wrong hinge style for the opening.

Frameless vs semi-frameless, which is right for my bathroom?

Frameless suits clean, modern bathrooms where you want the tile and stone to read uninterrupted. Semi-frameless uses a slim metal channel at the edges and is more forgiving on out-of-plumb walls and older homes.
