When a telescopic door makes sense
Pricing: telescopic glass sliding doors are custom-quoted per project. Installed price includes glass, hardware and installation; HST extra; final price after a measurement.
- Wide openings. Where a single sliding door would leave too much fixed glass, telescopic panels clear far more of the opening.
- Boardrooms that open up. Open the room for a team meeting, close it for a client call.
- Open offices. A glass wall that becomes a doorway without a door swinging into the floor.
How it works
The panels run on parallel tracks and move together, so pulling one panel brings the next one with it. Systems come as single or bi-parting, with a surface-mounted or concealed ceiling track. The ceiling and the structure above it must carry the glass, so we check that first at the site visit.
Glass choices
Clear, frosted, a frosted band at eye level, or low-iron glass. Acoustic laminated glass can be used where the room needs privacy.

Telescopic glass door questions
How much does a telescopic glass sliding door cost in Toronto?
Telescopic glass sliding doors are custom-quoted per project, because no two openings are alike. The price depends on the opening width and number of panels, glass size and weight, glass type, surface or concealed track, the ceiling structure that carries the track, and after-hours access. Installed price includes glass, hardware and installation; HST extra; final price after a measurement. Get a free quote or call 416-897-0767.
What is the difference between a telescopic door and a regular sliding door?
A regular sliding door is one panel on one track. A telescopic door has two or more panels that slide together and stack, so it clears a much wider part of the opening.
Can a telescopic door go under a drop ceiling?
Usually, yes, but the track has to be fixed to solid structure, not to the ceiling tiles. We check what is above the ceiling at the site visit.
Can the track be hidden?
Yes. Concealed-track versions sit the track inside the ceiling line for a cleaner look; this is easiest to plan before the ceiling is finished.
What is covered after installation?
Every telescopic door we install has a 5-year warranty on labour and 5-year warranty on hardware.
