Where a sliding glass door works best
Pricing: most sliding glass office doors are $2,800–$5,500 installed per opening; residential glass barn and pocket doors are mostly $2,200–$4,500 installed per opening. Installed price includes glass, hardware and installation; HST extra; final price after a measurement.
- Office fronts. A glass front with a sliding door keeps a private office open to the floor plan.
- Meeting rooms. No door swing into the room, so the table and chairs can use the full space.
- Home offices and basements. A glass door that shuts out noise while letting daylight through.
The hardware we install
We install commercial-grade sliding hardware matched to the glass and the opening: a top track mounted to the wall, the ceiling or a header, soft-close damping on the door, and a low floor guide. Options include a concealed track hidden in the ceiling, single or bi-parting doors, and locking handles where the room needs it. Which hardware line suits your job is confirmed at the site visit.
Pocket glass doors
A pocket glass door slides into the wall cavity and leaves no track on the floor. It needs to be planned before the wall is built or opened, so we work with your contractor on the framing.
Glass barn doors
An exposed rail in stainless steel or black carries the glass in front of the wall. It suits a modern or industrial interior and works where there is free wall beside the opening.
Interior glass doors for homes
Sliding glass doors are just as useful at home: a glass barn door for a home office or pantry, a glass pocket door where there is no wall space beside the opening, frosted interior doors for bathrooms and laundry rooms, and glass room dividers that split an open-plan space while keeping the light.
Glass choices
Clear, frosted, a frosted band at eye level, or low-iron glass for the clearest look. Acoustic laminated glass helps where sound matters.

Sliding glass office door questions
How much does a sliding glass office door cost in Toronto?
Most sliding glass office doors are $2,800–$5,500 installed per opening. The price depends on door size and glass weight, glass type, the hardware and soft-close, the track type (surface, concealed or pocket), the ceiling or wall structure the track fixes to, and after-hours access. Residential glass barn and pocket doors are mostly $2,200–$4,500 installed per opening. Installed price includes glass, hardware and installation; HST extra; final price after a measurement. Does a sliding glass door need a track on the floor?
No. Most frameless sliding doors hang from a top track and use only a small floor guide; a pocket door can run with no floor track at all.
Can a sliding glass door be added to an existing glass partition?
Often, yes. We check the existing glass, the header and the ceiling at the site visit to see whether the new door can line up with what is already there.
Is a sliding glass door private enough for an office?
It can be. Frosted glass or a frosted band blocks sightlines, and a sliding door closes tighter on sound when the glass is laminated and the edges are sealed.
What is covered after installation?
Every sliding glass door we install has a 5-year warranty on labour and 5-year warranty on hardware.
