Oakville Family Glass Shop Marks 12 Years and 800+ Projects Across the GTA

**Oakville, ON – May 17, 2026** – Lux Glass Inc., a family-run glass and glazing contractor based in Oakville, this month marks 12 years in business, having completed more than 800 residential and commercial glass projects across the Greater Toronto Area. The company opened in 2014 with one truck and a two-person crew; today it operates a full fabrication shop and runs installs from Hamilton through to North York.
The GTA’s appetite for frameless glass has changed sharply in that period. Frameless shower enclosures, once a high-end custom request, are now standard in mid-market renovations. Frameless glass railings – on decks, stairs and balconies – have moved from luxury condos into single-family rebuilds across Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Hamilton and the Halton region. Lux Glass has grown with that shift, fabricating and installing tempered glass for homeowners, designers, builders and general contractors.
Founder Bojan Stojic learned the trade on job sites before starting the company at 28. He still carries a measuring tape on most install days, and the company has trained four new glaziers in-house since 2022 – an unusual move in a region where most glass work is sub-contracted out. Lux Glass sources Canadian-fabricated tempered glass for the majority of its work and runs its own delivery and install crews rather than relying on third-party labour.
For homeowners and project managers, the practical effect is shorter timelines and fewer hand-offs between measure, fabrication and install. The company quotes site-measured projects, fabricates locally, and schedules its own installers – a workflow it built specifically for renovation projects where a missed measurement can hold up tile, drywall and trades behind it.
“Twelve years ago I was driving one van and measuring showers in my notebook. The work hasn’t changed – glass still has to be measured right, fabricated right, and installed by someone who actually cares if it lines up,” said Bojan Stojic, founder of Lux Glass Inc. “What has changed is that we can now train people the right way from day one, on our own crews. That’s the part I’m proud of.”
Lux Glass plans to expand its in-house apprenticeship intake in 2026 and continue serving the GTA renovation market, with a focus on frameless railings, custom showers and architectural glass for residential and light commercial projects.
